Wa Alaikum Assalam! Welcome to the beautiful journey of faith in Islam. It’s truly a pleasure to assist you. “Kalima” in Islam refers to the declarations of faith that form the foundation of a Muslim’s beliefs. There are six Kalimas in total, but the first one, known as the “Kalima Tayyiba” is the most fundamental and significant for all Muslims. It goes as follows:”La ilaha illallah, Muhammadur rasulullah.”
This translates to, “There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.” This declaration is the first step in entering into the fold of Islam, affirming the oneness of Allah and the prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him). It’s a statement that signifies a Muslim’s total commitment to and belief in the core principles of Islam.
The other five Kalimas are also statements of faith that cover various aspects of belief and practice.
